OUR SPEAKER

Martha Fisher

Martha Fisher has Texas roots.  She was born in Gladewater, raised in Taft, and graduated from George West High School.  As an adult, she and her family lived in Austin, New Braunfels, Victoria, and Abilene.  After moving to San Antonio in 1989, she and Neil Fisher married in 1991, blending their families, which now consists of three children, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Martha, who was always a full-time mom, also worked in outside sales and the health and exercise industry for seventeen years before finding her true calling in ministry.  In January of 2003, she began serving as the Pastor to Women at Community Bible Church, speaking at women’s events internationally, and writing two children’s books, Aubrey the Little Giraffe and Aubrey Takes the Lead.

Since retiring in 2017, she and her husband became nomads, living and traveling in their RV.  After eight years of full-time travel and spending time in every state in the continental United States, as well as several locations throughout Canada, they returned to San Antonio in November 2023 to once again put down roots.  The one true and constant thing throughout her life has been her identity as an ordinary gal with an extraordinary God.

OUR WORSHIP LEADER

Kristen Silvia is the Worship Associate at First Baptist Church in Universal City. She has two beautiful girls—Norah (age 11) and Addie (age 8). Her husband, Bryan helps lead worship at the church as well and works in store leadership for HEB. They all love the beach, fishing, board games, and of course, Jesus. She feels blessed beyond measure to be able to lead others in worship on a weekly basis. Her desire is always to point up to God—for He truly deserves all the praise!
