Angel Tree & Chrysalis Wish To Thank Members of the Fellowship of San Antonio
The Fellowship of San Antonio donated and delivered gifts for the Angel Tree Project to 125 children in families with at least one spouse incarcerated. Each child received two gifts. Families received a Bible donated by Noah’s Ark Self Storage or pamphlet prepared by Angel Tree Ministries.
Members also donated gifts for 140 children through Chrysalis (Bexar County Detention Ministries). David Turlington and Jamie Longoria and her daughter assisted with the “Light Up a Heart” Children’s Christmas party and handed out 500 flyers from our church about the birth of Jesus. Children of the incarcerated or recently incarcerated in Bexar County received gifts and were treated with the party. Our Youth Ministry hosted a taco breakfast with proceeds going to these need. Our members made monetary gifts of $900.00 for these ministries.
You will never know what a difference each one of you made. It will make your Christmas to see the face of a child “light up” when the child receives a gift. Our church members were so generous and we are so grateful to each member. This year our church was presented with a large number of needs and you met them admirably! A flyer is available today with more detailed information on this ministry and what your Missions Committee was able to accomplish with your help!
