NURSERY-PRE-K NEWS
We are very excited about the growth and changes that have happened in our FOSA Nursery and Pre-K classes! We have been having 10-20 children in the Nursery and Pre-K each week! With this steady crowd, and as our church responds to this growth, we have done some organizing in the Nursery and Pre-K! Harriet Fanning (who has been working with the Nursery and Pre-K from the inception of the church…thank you Harriet!) will continue organize the volunteers and teach with Jennifer Morgan in the Pre-K department. Holly Farmer is Director for the Nursery and organizes the volunteer load for the Nursery. She works every Sunday with Pam Velasco and Debbie Rhodes to bring a cohesive, welcoming, creative atmosphere to the Nursery. Bev Golden, our Children’s Ministry Coordinator, has been re-organizing policies and procedures for the Nursery and Pre-K programs and putting together some written guidelines and hand-outs for parents and volunteers alike. These have been developed with the children and young families foremost in our mind. The Nursery and Pre-K departments are dynamic, exciting places to be these days! THANK YOU to everyone who helps with the practical work of loving these babies, children and young families!
FYI PARENTS
We offer classes Sunday morning for babies through Pre-K from 9:00-12:00 noon in our nursery in the main building and pre-school building. Kindergarten and older children have Bible Study from 9:15-10:15 am, but should attend worship with parents. The Fellowship believes that it is important for growing children to worship with their parents and to learn this spiritual habit from their families. So, if you are a parent of children kindergarten-age and up, please take your child with you to worship. FYI – There are crayons and kid-friendly worship bulletins available for your children in the back of the worship center.
