FOSAKIDS K-5TH GRADE FEBRUARY LESSONS


Sunday School:
During February our FOSAkids K-5th Grade will learn about THE GOOD SAMARITAN. Through rotation workshops, children will focus on the following objectives.


After our lessons, the students will learn:

*Our neighbor is the person in need of our love and help.

*Jesus tells us to love everyone, no matter what their background, social standing or race.

*Christians are called to love outcasts, even their enemies.


Memory verse:

"Which of these three, do you think, was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of the robbers?" He said, "The one who showed him mercy."  Jesus said to him, "Go and do likewise." Luke 10: 36-37


We will be studying THE GOOD SAMARITAN by rotating through workshops:  VIDEO, STORYTELLING, DRAMA and an ART.

PARENTS NIGHT OUT - FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3

FOSAKIDS CHILDREN'S CHURCH

We now have Children's Church for Kinder-5th graders each Sunday! Bring your children to church as usual. During the greeting time, we will dismiss K-5th graders who want to attend Children's Church. They will meet in the gym and be taken to classes. Parents may pick up their children in the children's classrooms (down the hill by preschool) after worship. We will teach our rotation lessons in this hour.

We continue to provide classes for children during the Sunday School at 9:15 a.m. Bring your children for some fun Bible games and activities during this hour! We will dismiss children at 10:30 a.m. as usual so they can meet parents for worship.

We need more helpers for Children's Church.  Children attend church and are dismissed during the greeting time to attend.  They are to be picked up by parents in their classrooms following worship.  This is a fun, interactive way to get involved with our school-age kids.  If you'd like to sign up—even once or twice a year—that would be so helpful!  Everything is provided so you would just help guide the children through the morning.  Try it...you'll like it!


MUSIC

Music time is 9:15-9:35 a.m. each Sunday with music that enhances our monthly theme.

Share your faith and joy in Jesus with FOSA kids this year! Teaching teams are forming as we prepare to guide and lead our children—grades Kinder through Fifth. Children's Bible Study is not what it used to be! FOSA utilizes a rotation model of instruction. Teaching teams are scheduled every third month—just three months of the school year. Teachers prepare a lesson and teach it three times in a month as the three groups of children rotate each Sunday. We also need volunteers to assist the teachers. There is no preparation required for this, just a willing, loving spirit for children.
